Inspired by St. Nicholas of Myra's generosity to children, this ministry collects donations to provide Christmas cheer to local children who have been identified by Child Welfare of Jackson County as victims of abuse and/or neglect.  It began decades ago as a Mitten Tree, evolved into individualized gifts of winter clothing, and since 2020 has been providing Fred Meyer gift cards.  In recent years, the number of children served has been increasing and currently stands at about one hundred.
