Trinity’s Assisting Clergy

anne-small-240x250The Reverend Anne Bartlett - Rector Emeritus – Anne was rector of Trinity, Ashland from 2000 – 2010. She previously served as associate rector at the Parish of St. John the Baptist in Portland and St. Mark’s, Medford. She was also active on the diocesan level and was on staff at six Preaching Excellence Conferences for seminarians. Ordained in 1987, Anne served at two Episcopal parishes in St. Louis, Missouri before coming to Oregon in 1992. In retirement, Anne has held short-term positions at Church of England parishes in Spain, in Medford, Oregon and with the Ashland UCC congregation. She currently serves as an assisting priest at Trinity.
Murphy_T_175pxThe Reverend Tom Murphy - Tom served for 35 years in active ministry as Rector or Vicar at nine congregations in three dioceses. In 14 years of retirement, he has served as priest-in-charge, interim priest, and supply priest in the Dioceses of Spokane (WA), Oregon, and Northern California. Tom currently serves as assisting priest at Trinity Church Ashland and St. Marks in Medford. Fr. Murphy was ordained in the Episcopal Church in 1966. He served as a Baptist minister from 1961 to 1965.
_Bert_scan_175pxThe Reverend Bert A. Anderson was ordained as a Priest in 1960. Upon ordination, Bert was appointed Vicar of St. Andrew's by the Sea Episcopal Church in San Diego. He led the congregation in rebuilding a church destroyed by fire, as well as construction of Baroque pipe organ for the church. In 1979 while living in Bullhead City, Arizona, he founded Holy Spirit Episcopal Church. Bert also served as Assisting Priest at Trinity Episcopal Church in Redlands, California, and as Chaplain of the Order of St. Luke the Physician. He has practiced as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Bert moved to Ashland in 2003.
Morgan_2nd_175pxThe Reverend Morgan Silbaugh began his ordained ministry at a small mission in upstate New York. For 25 years he served in a number of parishes in the Diocese of Central New York. In the ten years prior to retirement, Morgan served as Rector of Christ Church, Los Altos in California's Silicon Valley. Morgan enhanced the Church's community service by promoting non-profit housing for the well elderly, as well as establishing residential programs for academically talented young women in challenged schools. Morgan retired in 2000, when he and wife Charlotte moved to Ashland. Morgan continues to pray For Joy in God's Creation in seeking His work wherever he may be called.
Buechele_pix_175pxThe Reverend Tom Buechele served as an active priest for 47 years in Iowa, Arizona and Hawaii. Tom retired in Oregon after serving on the Big Island of Hawaii were he was Vicar and Interim Priest. Also know as Padre Tomas, he is bilingual in Spanish and English. He was the first Border Missioner for the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona. Tom ministered as a Roman Catholic priest for 22 years in Eastern Iowa as the Episcopal vicar for Spanish Speaking and Pastor. Tom currently serves on the Housing and Human Services Commission of the City of Ashland. Tom is also active as a volunteer with Compassion and Choices of Southern Oregon. Tom regularly undertakes international clergy supply ministry in Mexico.
