Godly Play

frTony_eucharist_w-children_large1Godly Play is based upon the recognition that children have an innate sense of the presence of God. All they lack is the appropriate language to help them identify and express it so it can be explored and strengthened. The Godly Play approach teaches classical Christian language in a way that enhances the child’s authentic experience of God so it can contribute to the creative life of the child and the world

Godly Play is not the typical Sunday school curriculum of years ago.  Godly Play is based on the Montessori method of teaching.  Children hear a story written for their understanding along with beautifully crafted materials to enhance their understanding through visualizing the story.  Godly Play offers children a chance to develop their own understanding of the Bible stories by exploring through their own wondering and discovery through play.

Godly Play Resources – Resources used in Trinity’s Godly Play sessions, plus materials you can use at home.

Godly Play Foundation – The organization that provides materials for our activities.
